Setting up a Dovo Shavette The Dovo Shavette is a fantastic training tool before investing in a straight razor. The Shavette is easy to set up and comes boxed with a red blade holder that accommodates half of a standard double edge blade, a black holder that accepts a single edge blade (seldom used) and a pack of 10 double edge blades. Slide out the red blade holder from the Shavette, snap a blade in half , the blades are flimsy so just fold in half a few times till it snaps or cut with scissors.Then take your half blade and fit into the holder which has notches to hold the blade in place. Fold the holder back up and simply slide back into the Shavette and it's ready to use.
