'LeisureGuy' On Our Essence Of Scotland Traditional Shaving Soaps

'LeisureGuy' On Our Essence Of Scotland Traditional Shaving Soaps

After trying our Essence of Scotland Sweet Gale And Scottish Heather Traditional Shaving Soaps that he had received from stockist Razor Emporium. Legendary US Wet Shaving Blogger and the author of Gourmet Shaving 'LeisureGuy' posted the following comments.

"I used the Essence of Scotland Scottish Heather shaving soap that Razor Emporium sells, and with the Rooney 2 it made a nice and fragrant lather."

"The Rooney 3/1 worked up a good lather from the Sweet Gale shaving soap, and I have to say that I like the fragrance."

" I’m liking the Scottish shaving soap, so today another go at it, this time with the TOBS artificial badger brush, which did a fine job."

"Scottish Heather today—and I find that I prefer Sweet Gale, though both soaps provide excellent lather, today worked up with an Omega artificial badger brush."

"I’m really liking the fragrance (and lather) of Sweet Gale: a lovely shaving soap."

"As you can tell, I’m really liking Sweet Gale shaving soap, and I think I’ve figured out why: its fragrance includes things (bog myrtle, honey, single-malt Scotch whisky) that one normally doesn’t come across in shaving fragrances, along with some that are more common (mixed spices, cedarwood). In particular, the fragrance of honey and single-malt Scotch have pleasant associations for me. And, since it’s a rainy morning, it seemed a good excuse to have at the Sweet Gale once more."

The Gentleman's Groom Room were delighted that 'LeisureGuy' liked our shaving soaps and with Ian working on developing a new soap to add to the range which will be available at the beginning of next year, we will be sure to send a pot to 'LeisureGuy' so he's among the first to try it!
