I bought an XL B a few months ago, so I've had a bit of time to weight it up.
Whilst I have no shortage of razors, including vintage and modern, mild and aggressive, I'm beginning to find that the Digress is the one my hand stretches out to first.
For me, it's perfectly balanced and weighted, and performs flawlessly. Whilst I'm more concerned about how razors function than their looks (or that's what I tell myself), this is also very handsome.
"Superb" is the only word for it.

I have been using this razor for just over a week now and the experience just gets better each time I shave with it.
The brass adjustment knob really sets the visual effect of the razor off to its best, so much so I have ordered the 500 version which should be here soon.
I have used many other types of razor in the past and can safely say I have settled on this version of the Merkur Progress ... The Digress is a winner you should try before it's too late.
A superb razor. Quality retrofit in brass with superb build quality with a positive and accurate adjustment dial. Great service from Ian too. A pleasure to do business with from the first e mail to receiving the best razor I have ever owned. Buy one and you won't be disappointed
